Silk Zafu & Zabuton

Zen Buddhist practitioners traditionally sit on a zafu when engaged in meditation. The zafu is a round cushion that helps keep the back straight, and, at the same time, pushes the knees towards the floor. Sometimes the zafu is accompanied by a zabuton, which is a square cushioned mat that the zafu is placed on. The zabuton cushions the knees and ankles.
