During prayer and ritual, tingsha bells are used by Tibetan Buddhists. Ting in Tibetan refers to the ringing sound of metal; sha means hanging or suspension. Therefore, the name of tingsha is often taken to mean either hanging metal bell or sustained musical note. Tingsha come in pairs and are held together by a leather cord. By holding the cord and striking the bells, tingsha will produce a clear and high pitched tone. • approx: 2.25" diameter • made from metal Imported from China.
