Hand Puppet Theatre was devised some 3 centuries ago in South China. They are controlled entirely by the puppeteer’s hand. The traditional puppet is about 26 cm which is the most suitable size for hand to control. The movements and gestures of puppet can be very vivid and intricate. Approximately 9.5” width x 11” height. Suggested for 6 years old to adults. This puppet’s name is Sha Wu Jing. One of the chief characters in the folk epic “the Journey to the West” who is the third apprentice of Tang San Tzang.
