Although the basic designs were adopted from neighboring Asian cultures, these Korean temple bells have their own aesthetic styles different from China or Japan. One characteristic is the single dragon -- instead of a pair -- standing upright, firmly gripping the bell in its mouth. The designs on the bell surface also distinguish Korean styles, featuring four squares, each with a set of nine dots, and characters seeking longevity and fortune. Listen to its melodic tone by sounding the bell with the chained striker. In Korea, bells are mainly used in Buddhist ceremonies and in temples. Available in two sizes. Imported from China.
