Maneki Neko or Fortune Cat is a Japanese symbol of luck and prosperity! The cat like figure is commonly used in sculptures which are often made from porcelain or cermaic. The "Fortune Cat" is usually displayed in shops, restaurants, pachinko parlors, and other businesses beckoning with an upright paw. It is believed that a raised right paw supposedly attracts money, while a raised left paw attracts customers. "Fortune Cats" come in different colors and styles.
