About Karate Uniform Quality
This is an important factor to consider when choosing your karate uniform.
The main three types of karate uniforms are:
The lightweight karate uniform- which weighs 6 oz and easily rips during intensive practise. This uniform also clings after some exercising.
The light canvas karate uniform- This uniform is of a better quality and weighs 10 oz. It can withstand intensive training without ripping and has the capacity to absorb sweat. It makes the wearer comfortable.
Heavyweight karate uniform- weights around 14 oz. This uniform absorbs almost all sweat and also keeps the wearer cool throughout training. The only disadvantage is it takes a lot of space in your bag.
You can find the karate uniform in two main cuts-traditional cut and tournament cut. Comparatively the traditional cut uniform has longer sleeves and pants to the tournament cut.
A traditional karate uniform has a drawstring waist which helps to keep the pants from slipping down and causing any embarrassment.
