Chinese Gongs, Temple Bells, Gong and Mallets

Bianzhong or simply zong were Ancient Chinese bells that were primarily used as musical instruments. These bells were often inscribed upon, could produce two tones, and the earliest known ones date back from 2000-3600 years old. Bells have been heavily employed in Japanese Shinto ceremonies for years. Spherical suzu bells mean both clean and refreshing and are though to foster that kind of atmosphere in temples.
