The fifteenth day of the first lunar month on the Chinese calendar is known as the Lantern Festival. During this festival, children go out carrying lanterns and solve riddles on the lanterns. These lantern riddles contain messages of good luck and good fortune. The festival itself is all about positivity. The use of lanterns represent the positivity of nature, friends, family, and higher beings and how that positivity is responsible for the “light” or happiness that exists in our individual lives. |
